Annual Report 2014

A workplace for a forester, logs for house-builders, a free sports and art hall for people moving about in nature – this and a whole lot more is offered to us by our forests. The development plan adopted by RMK in 2014 promises that by acting wisely and responsibly, we will receive greater enjoyment and benefits out of our forests and natural values.

The annual report summarises the recent activities of RMK. We provide an overview of our work in forest management and the organisation of moving about in nature, nature protection and education. We also provide an introduction to the research performed by Estonian researchers over the past few years with support from RMK, and describe how we apply newly acquired knowledge in our everyday activities. The annual report contains photos from the “Treescape” series, by Kaupo Kikkas – photos conveying the everlasting wisdom preserved in timber.
